Ugh. Snow. Again. I'm sure you're all as thrilled as I am about our lovely first days of Spring.

Anyway, homework tonight is to practice applying the formula for the Area of a Trapezoid.

The basic concept is that you add the two bases (the parallel sides), then divide that number by 2 to find the average base; then you multiply by the height (which is measured at a right angle to the bases). There are several different ways to write out is formula; see the examples in the book for some options.

HW: pgs. 688-689 & 691. For the math warriors, I expect you can complete all the problems. For struggling students, please focus on the problems that give you the bases and the height, and feel free to round the decimals to the nearest whole number.

Also, just a reminder, homework on Thursday of last week was the worksheet with matching the story prompts to the graphs. I collected it on Friday, but a few others found them and turned them in today. Every grade counts, so please complete all work.
