We start the week with estimating the area from drawings of some kooky composite figures. To do these, you have to look for the primary shapes that make up the item, check the dimensions (or distances) that are given, and determine how to best calculate the area of the figure.
Pages 714-715. Please show your work and briefly describe how you solved the problems.
**Hint: For example, the dog bone image on page 715 is approximately made up of three rectangles - one long rectangle in the middle and two smaller rectangles on the end. Using those shapes, you can find the area of the whole shape.
