We have PARCC testing starting up again this week. We'll be taking the two math sessions on Wednesday and Thursday, and then the two Reading sections next week. Get your proper rest this week and keep your spirits high - it's a steep learning curve in this first year of PARCC.

Math Homework: pgs. 742-743.

We are moving from Area of complex shapes into the Volume of rectangular prisms using the formula V=lwh (Volume is length times width times height). The problems on these pages involve fractions and decimals, per the 6th grade common core standards for volume. I gave the students the option to solve the problems without using the fraction values, just the whole numbers. This is only because I want everybody to be clear on how to use the formula and understand the concept before we get too mixed up with challenging numbers.

Social Studies: I will be entering a bundle of grades from the past week, so please be certain that you've turned in the three mythology based reader response questions from last week. Another short week and a half on the Greeks and we'll be transitioning to the Romans!
