Homework for the first day of school:

As one of our students said today: "What are the things that make you 'you'?

1. Write a letter of introduction to me about yourself. What are the things that make you special; that define you as a person, and as a student? What do you want me to know about you? What do you expect of me as your teacher? What has been your opinion of your Math and/or Social Studies classes in earlier years? Is there anything you absolutely want to do or don't want to do in this class?

DUE THURSDAY

2. Parent Homework: Complete the Ray Elementary School Directory Form, including contact information, phone numbers and email addresses.

If you do not want this information listed in the school directory, please check the appropriate box under Item I. I still need the contact information, so even if this is the case, please do complete the form with the relevant information.

DUE WEDNESDAY

3. From the parent packet, please read, sign and return the following documents. DUE FRIDAY.

• Handbook Signature Page

• Cell Phone Policy

• Emergency Contact Form.

4. Also of note: School supplies for your student are to be brought in this week. Common classroom supplies - index cards, copy paper, post-its, paper towels, tissues - can be brought in within the first two weeks of school. School supply will be reposted shortly.
