Welcome to the 2015-2016 School Year!

I am very excited to welcome our wonderful group of students to the 6th grade!!! Ms. Glassco and myself are looking forward to facilitating a fantastic year of learning and exploring, helping our students to tap into their creativity as strong contributors to our classroom and school community.

We will be working quite a bit on routines, procedures, and expectations during the first week in an effort to have a smooth, efficient middle school that allows us for more time on projects and collaborative learning. At the end of the this week, we will be taking our beginning of the year NWEA MAP test, which will allow us to set expectations for growth in reading and math. This is only one way of measuring a student's abilities, but the Spring version of this assessment is one of the 6th grade benchmarks for promotion in 6th grade.
