We started a new unit on statistical measures and displays today by analyzing the name lengths of a a classroom of students from China and a classroom in the US. To represent this data, we first created a frequency chart, showing how many times each name length repeats, and then made a dot plot (or line plot) to display the data in a visual format.

The homework tonight is doing the same thing, but with a classroom of 30 student names from South Korea.

Math Homework: Handout pg. 19, All questions

(Please note that both the frequency table and dot plot are to be created. You can do them on this sheet, front and back, or on another sheet of paper!)

Also, please remember that the field trip permission slip and $8 ticket fee is due tomorrow (Wednesday). If you need another permission slip, please email me directly.
