We're into the final school week of 2015! Progress reports come out on Friday, so be sure that all of your assignments are complete, turned in, and have your name on them. Tonight, there is homework in both math and social studies, so please be sure to put in the proper amount of time this evening to do a good job on the work.
Math Homework:
Handout (pg. 21 & 48) on Mean, Median, Mode and Range.
We completed much of pg. 21 in class, so that should lead nicely into the work on the backside (pg. 48).
Social Studies Homework:
Hammurabi's Code Handout: Questions on Laws from Documents D and E.
Please highlight or underline important parts of each law and answer the questions on both sides of the handout. These documents cover Property Law and Personal Injury Law.
Extra Credit Challenge (Math)
Per our brief discussion in math class, can you find a combination of five different fractions that each have a numerator of 1 that add up to exactly 1 whole?
Hint: 1/2 + 1/4 + 1/8 + 1/16 + 1/16 = 1 is true, but does not satisfy this challenge because 1/16 is used twice.
What if you try 1/2 + 1/4 + 1/8 + 1/12 + _____ = 1 ?
