It was a great first week back from break. I'm looking forward to our classes getting further into our statistics unit in Math and our Egypt unit in Social Studies. Please remember that NWEA Winter MAP testing is coming up this week: Reading on Thursday morning, and Math on Friday morning. Get your rest and eat well this week in preparation!

Weekend Math Homework:

Histogram Worksheet: pg. 29-30

Think Through Math - 45 minutes on the program, try to complete 1 or 2 lessons in that time.

Challenge Problem (optional, but worth extra credit):

A lobster's age in years is approximately his weight multiplied by 4, plus 3 years. Write this rule of thumb as a linear equation and determine the age of a 5-pound lobster. How much will a 15-year-old lobster weigh? How much will a 27 year old lobster weigh?

*Make an function table (x,y table) comparing weight to age.
