Algebra Homework:
Using the graph paper provided, please follow these instructions to create a rectangle or square.
Instructions:
Step 1: Choose a point on the y-axis and CONSTRUCT A LINE with a positive slope (do not use a slope of one) & (do not use a ruler....your slope should make a straight line)
Step 2: Locate two NEW points on that line that are in different quadrants and at least 6 ‘x’ units apart.
Step 3: Draw a PERPENDICULAR LINE from one of those two new points using the negative reciprocal of the slope from line one.
Step 4: Pick a point on the line from Step 3, and CONSTRUCT a line parallel to the Line from Step 1.
Step 5: Complete your rectangle or square shape by CONSTRUCTING a LINE back to one of your original two points (from step 2).
Step 6: Label the Equations for each line by finding the slope and y-intercept.
