We've completed two days of the first week and seem to have a great group of hard working 6th graders striving to do their best and leading by example. I will be posting updates frequently (almost daily) on this blog regarding homework, testing, upcoming school events, and any paperwork or forms that need to be turned in. Parents and students: please check in frequently, and feel free to email if you have any questions or concerns!

Announcements:

Forms/Paperwork: These were sent home yesterday as part of the Ray Packet. Parents & guardians: please fill out and return the Emergency Information form, the Media Consent form, the Affidavit of Residency, the Home Language Survey, the Code of Conduct (first page only), and the Packet of Student Health forms.

Testing:

We will be administering the Fall NWEA MAP tests for Reading and Math on Thursday and Friday mornings. These tests are important as benchmarks (and practice) for the Spring test at the end of the school year. The Spring version of this test is the one that counts toward promotion to the 7th grade.

Homework:

Social Studies: 'Letter about Me' assignment is due by Friday, although I'd be happy to have it sooner!

Class Dojo SignUp: Instructions for the Class Dojo parent sign up were sent home with students today. Many parents are already signed up from last year, and the account should have transferred, but please sign in, sign up and double check that your student is listed in my homeroom (310) or in Ms. Drewa's homeroom (306).
