Week 2 Update

Congratulations to all of our Ray students and parents for launching successful first week! I know how difficult this is for everybody, and I wholeheartedly appreciate all of the student, and family, efforts to be online, actively participate, and flexibly adjust with this new mode of learning.

For this week, we will launch our daily patterns for Math class, with about half of the work being completed in pencil in math journals. The first notebook - we'll call it the 'Math Practice Journal' - will be used for solving problems that are assigned in google classroom, or from math talks online. The second notebook - we'll call this one the 'NoteCard Journal' - will be for copying my assigned note cards, and taking notes, on the math content we cover.

As for the amount of work in math each week, you can expect 3 to 4 NoteCards, two digital performance tasks, three Khan Academy assignments, and one project. In addition to this, students will be given practice problems that align with that day's synchronous instruction.
