Many things have been changing over the past few weeks with respect to the reopening plan and dates. Last week, the CTU and the CPS agreed to terms on a plan. Throughout the district, Kindergarten through 5th grade students who opted for HYBRID learning will return on Monday, March 1st. Middle school students (grades 6 through 8) who opted for HYBRID learning will return on Monday, March 8th.

All of our 5th and 6th graders (both the HYBRID students and the REMOTE students) will have their schedules adjusted starting on March 1st due to realignment of teachers who will be teaching in person. The full details of these new schedules are still being worked out, but we will be sharing that information within the week. Some grades are going to be in-person 4 days per week and some will be in-person 2 days per week, depending on student numbers, as there is a 15 student limit on in-person class size. This important distinction will also be determined this week, and will be shared with you as soon as we are able.

Thank you for your patience through this transition and for your patience through the ups and downs and variability of the last few weeks as CPS and the CTU worked toward an agreement.
