5th Grade Math: Building on our Fair-Share and Adding Fraction problems from last week, students will begin to solve real-world division problems that have remainders. They will analyze how those remainders can be written and understood as fractions, or as part of a whole.

6th Grade Math: Students will learn how to use ratio tables to solve problems by scaling up and down the ratio. They will also create and compare ratio diagrams (drawings), double number lines, and ratio tables to show equivalent ratios and solve problems.

6th Grade Science: This week, students will be extending and completing our experiments about the differences in behavior between salt water and fresh water as it relates to the freezing, melting and evaporation cycles. We will learn how to write about an experiment, and how to analyze our discoveries.
