Week 16 Learning Focus

5th Math: Students will learn how to divide whole numbers and fractions by fractions using multiple strategies. They will review the methods for multiplying fractions, and will evaluate story problems that involve fraction multiplication or division.

6th Math: Students will learn how to calculate and compare rates within story problems to find the best deal. Students will also practice how different rates compare in graphs, double number lines, and ratio tables.

6th Science: Students will be learning about the Covid-19 vaccine. The lessons will focus on how this vaccine (and others) work within the cells, how this vaccine is different from other vaccines, and on the challenges of distributing the vaccine to the population.
