6th Math: Students will learn how to identify percents in visual models and use them to solve rate problems. They will practice converting between percents, fractions, and decimals, as well as comparing the values of numbers in each of those forms.
5th Math: Students will learn how the powers of ten can be used to understand the place values of larger numbers, with each successive place value being a result of either multiplying by ten or dividing by ten. They will also be able to calculate and explain the product of a number and the power of ten by which it is being multiplied.
6th Science: Students will build upon the past week’s study of the immune system and vaccines by researching other systems of the human body. They will choose a topic, research it from a series of online resources, and build a presentation to share with their class at the end of the week.
