Week 27 Learning Focus

6th Math: Students will continue to recognize and extend growth patterns through drawings and tables, while also learning to graph the resulting x,y coordinates from the tables. They will also practice finding rules for the growth patterns, and we will start to identify the differences between linear and non-linear growth.

5th Math: Students will learn how to graph coordinate points in the first quadrant and will use that knowledge to graph points from the growth tables. They will continue to work on problems that require them to identify how a pattern grows and to extend that sequence to solve for unknowns.

6th Science: Students will continue to learn about how gravity works on Earth, the moon, and different planets in our solar system. They will use this as a starting point to discuss the comparative size and mass of planets in solar system as well as how our atmosphere is related to gravity.
