Week 29 Learning Focus

6th Math: Students will continue to work on representing the growth of a pattern through drawings, noticing how the pattern changes in each part of the sequence, and extending that pattern to create the subsequent patterns. They will then record the changes in growth in tables and graphs, including identifying whether the relationship is linear or non-linear.

5th Math: Students will work on creating graphs to chart relationships between time and movement from real-world problems. They will then practice evaluating the graph at locations that occur between graphed points.

6th Science: Students will continue to study their chosen concept from the ‘In a Nutshell’ science videos. They will also work in content area teams to explore new ideas and research questions that were created during last week’s research.
