5th Grade Math: We will continue to explore decimals, working on adding and subtracting decimals. We will also be learning about the upcoming election, and specifically, the math behind the Electoral College and the focus on 270 votes. Students will also be presenting their work from the Architect Project from last week.

Read, write, and compare decimals to thousandths.

6th Grade Math: In math this week, we are going to be learning about the upcoming election, focusing on the math involved in winning the Electoral College. Students will evaluate how the numbers of the electoral college work, and will analyze the polling statistics of specific states.

Display numerical data in plots on a number line, including dot plots, histograms, and box plots.

6th Grade Science: After spending last week doing research and presentations about Peru for Hispanic Heritage Month, we will return to focusing on climate change. Students will be learning about the causes and effects of global climate change, and how we can start to address and mitigate some of these issues.
